RF Facial Tightening

Radio Frequency (RF) Facial Tightening utilises radio waves to heat the deeper layers of the skin, including the dermis and epidermis, to a temperature of approximately 42 degrees Celsius. As a result of this, radio waves gradually modify the collagen fibres, causing them to contract and condense.

Radio Frequency Facial Tightening is a heat treatment that induces skin tightening. When the radio waves are emitted into the skin, this heats the skin to a temperature of roughly 42 degrees Celsius. Throughout the treatment, the temperature of the area should be measured with an infra-red thermometer to ensure that it does not get too hot or cause discomfort. The heat produced by the radio waves gives the collagen within the skin the energy to repair and regrow, tightening the skin and reducing signs of ageing such as wrinkles and loose skin.

This treatment is a safe and relaxing method of rejuvenating the face, giving skin a smoother and firmer appearance.

Radio Frequency Facial Tightening has multiple benefits:

  • Safe and non-invasive treatment
  • Reduces signs of ageing such as loose skin and wrinkles
  • There is no downtime after the procedure

"Published clinical evidence documents the efficacy of monopolar capacitive radiofrequency skin tightening and supports its use for mild to moderate facial skin laxity and rhytides. Currently, monopolar capacitive radiofrequency represents the gold standard of treatments designed to tighten skin in a noninvasive fashion."

"Subjects undergoing facial treatment had minimal pain, no permanent side effects, or significant downtime. Investigators' assessment for improvement in skin texture correlated with subjects' evaluation and was greater than 40% for approximately 50% of subjects. Eighty percent of the subjects were satisfied with the results."
"The clinical observations and histological findings suggest that fractionated ablative skin resurfacing using a fractional radiofrequency device resulted in a safe, tolerable and effective improvement in skin texture and reduction of wrinkles."
